Join one of the world’s most renowned and thought provoking fisheries experts, Dr Daniel Pauly, as he reveals the true state of the world’s fisheries and highlights a cautionary tale for the Territory and our fishing future.
Join us for a rich and spirited discussion with leading experts on how we can keep our Top End Coasts Healthy and protect our treasured Territory lifestyle.
Named one of the 50 most influential scientists in the world, Dr Daniel Pauly has received many international awards. Dr Pauly has taken a historical look at our relationship with the oceans and is sounding the alarm about the true state of the world’s fisheries.
Now he comes to the Territory to highlight a cautionary tale for the Top End and our fishing future.
Our MC for the evening will be Professor Jessica Meeuwig, Director of the University of Western Australia’s Centre for Marine Futures. Professor Jessica Meeuwig is a leading expert in marine conservation and one of Australia's great science communicators.

Tristen joins us on his national tour with his Country/Americana/Folk sounds and storytelling mastery. With three Australian tours under his belt and national airplay, the Bird is ready to fly. His new album, ‘Yonder Comes The Sun’ is full of treats, so you’ll want to hear it!
Tristen continues to captivate Australian audiences with his heartfelt narrative for many years. Join him at the Territory Wildlife Park on June 29.
This is a family-friendly event being held outdoors at the Territory Wildlife Park’s lawn, with live music, animal encounters, kids activities and a play gym on offer.
Pack a picnic dinner and join us for a great night of live entertainment! And remember, all proceeds go directly to the Keep the Top End Coasts Healthy program.
Gates open at 5pm, music from 6pm.
Note: This will be a licensed event, so please no BYO.
There will be a sausage sizzle on the night for a gold-coin donation.
FebFit Beach Clean 2021
Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 09:00 AMKeep Top End Coasts Healthy and the Darwin Game Fishing Club have joined forces with Mix 104.9 to host a special event - the Feb Fit 2021 Beach Clean.

Local events have been designed to help the community get active during the whole month of February. Mix 104.9’s Feb Fit challenge has set a goal for the local community to join together to walk around the globe - 40,000 kilometres, that's 50 million steps!
When: 9am START, Sunday 28th February.
Where: Meet at Darwin Trailer Boat Club, Fannie Bay. Then we will be walking and cleaning the coastal strip from Mindil Beach to East Point Reserve.
Together we can step outside, exercise and clean our beaches - what a great way to keep our coasts and our bodies healthy!
