Marine and fisheries experts visit Darwin

Dr Daniely Pauly and Professor Jessica Meeuwig were in Darwin recently to talk to locals, decision-makers, and scientists to talk about marine conservation and fisheries.

On Wednesday, we were joined by Helen Davidson, from The Guardian for an interview on Darwin Harbour and then a number of people representing different groups came along for a casual late afternoon discussion on fisheries, conservation and the future.

On Thursday, more than 120 Territorians packed out The Darwin Railway Club for our A Night At The Pub with Dr Pauly for a panel conversation hosted by Shar Molloy - Environment Centre. Dr Pauly and Professor Meeuwig told cautionary tales of marine life around the world, answered questions and had the room buzzing. You can see photos of the event here.
